1 c. butter
2 1/4 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp. milk
1/2 tsp. water
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Mix together the butter, brown sugar and
sugar with an electric mixer. Add the eggs, vanilla, milk and water, mixing well; then mix in the flour, baking soda
and salt; then the chocolate chips and walnuts. Form golf ball-sized lumps of dough. Chill in the refrigerator
for about a day. Set the dough on ungreased lightweight baking sheets and flatten with a gloved hand. Bake at
325 degrees for about 15 1/2 minutes (the baking time may vary with the oven and the temperature of the dough). Carefull
life with a spatula and place on a rack to cool (the cookies will be very soft when taken from the oven).
