1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, at room temperature
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. mashed bananas
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Cream together the butter and the sugar; add the eggs.
Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt and combine with the butter mixture; blend well. Add the bananas, sour
cream and vanilla and stir well. Add the chopped nuts. Pour into a well-buttered 9 x 3-inch loaf pan or several
smaller tea loaf pans. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees, or until a tester inserted into the middle comes out clean.
(If making the smaller loaves, less time may be necessary, so keep an eye on them.)
