2 (.25 oz.) pkgs. active dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
2 c. hot water
1/2 c. sugar
3 T. butter (do not use margarine)
3 tsp. salt
6 to 6 1/2 c. flour (approximately)
Dissolve the yeast in the warm water. Pour the hot water over the sugar and butter. Add 2 c.
of the flour to the butter mixture, beating as hard as possible after each addition. When the mixture is warm, not hot,
add to the dissolved yeast. Add the remaining flour, to which you have added the salt. Knead well and place into
a greased bowl and let rise until double in bulk. Shape into rolls or buns, let rise again until double, and bake at
375 degrees for about 18 to 20 minutes.
