3 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
sprinkle of nutmeg
1 (9-inch) baked pie crust
Beat the eggs slightly. Add the sugar, salt, milk and
vanilla. Stir well to blend. Grease a 9-inch glass pie pan and set it in a pan of water. Pour the mixture
into the pie pan and sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the custard
is firm to the touch. Cool thoroughly. Loosen the custard around the edges with a knife and slip into the baked
pie crust.
