2 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. All-Bran buds
2 c. All-Bran flakes
2 c. boiling water
1 qt. buttermilk
1 1/2 c. raisins, plumped in hot water
Combine the ingredients in the order given (that is the sugar and shortening, then the eggs. . .).
Bake in muffins cups for 25 minutes at 400 degrees. (You can make as many or as few as you need at any one time; the
batter will stay good in the refrigerator for up to 6 weeks.
