1 (28 oz.) can pork and beans
1 onion, finely chopped
1 green pepper, finely chopped
1 tomato, finely chopped
1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1 c. Dr. Pepper (or similar soda)
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drain the liquid from the pork and beans. Pour the beans into a
baking dish. Gently mix in the onion, green pepper and tomato. Combine the brown sugar, Dr. Pepper and cloves,
and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Pour evenly over the bean mixture. Bake, covered, for 30 minutes.
