1 c. sugar
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
6 T. butter, divided
1 c. milk
1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 T. ground cinnamon
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, sift together the sugar, flour, baking powder and
salt. Melt 2 T. of the butter and add to the flour mixture along with the milk, stirring until well mixed. Grease
or spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish and spread in the batter. In a small bowl, blend together the brown sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle the mixture over the batter. Cut the remaining butter into small chunks and poke into the batter. (As
the butter melts, it will form yummy, gooey pockets.) Bake for 30 minutes. Serve warm.
