3 T. butter or margarine
6 T. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
2 c. milk
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. grated onion
1/2 lb. American cheese, grated
2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans hominy, drained
1/3 c. dry seasoned bread crumbs
Melt the butter or margarine; add the flour, salt, pepper and dry mustard; blend together. Gradually
add the milk and cook over low heat until thick, stirring constantly. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, onion and cheese.
Place the drained hominy in a 1 1/2-qt. greased casserole. Pour the cheese sauce over the hominy. Sprinkle the
bread crumbs on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 6.
