4 lbs. suet
1 c. peanut butter
3 to 4 c. cornmeal
5 c. birdseed
cranberries, chopped
mesh bags
spool of jute
Melt the suet in a deep pan over low heat (DO NOT leave the pan unattended!!). Using care, divide
the melted suet between 2 large bowls. To each, add 1/2 c. peanut butter, approximately 2 c. cornmeal and 2 1/2 c. birdseed.
Mix well. Add the cranberries. If the mixture is too soft, add more birdseed and cornmeal. Place the mixture
in mesh bags. Let cool in the garage or on the porch. Using the jute, tie the bags to tree branches.
